1.3 Properties of Matter

Chemists are interested in the reactions and properties of matter and measure the changes from one state of matter to another. By analyzing the properties of matter, a chemist can design, modify, and improve the way a material function. We need a way to classify matter and must introduce terms that will allow you to communicate with a chemist.

Amazing method! This has been very helpful, wish more professors would do this!

  6. David Kovac says:

Thank you so much Dr. Fus! This makes the class seem like its one on one instead of one on 350. It also makes learning from the book much more interesting than simply reading the chapter.

  7. Pratik Kulkarni says:

Huh… I’m beyond impressed. Dr.Fus, you are a GENIUS… When you first described this method of teaching, I was slightly skeptical… I, who spent all of high school years dozing off in class and learning everything off of Khan’s Academy at home on my own, find these lectures, from someone who is actually my professor and working with me, to be much more enlightening… Its like a quadruple review of every topic to really cement the understanding of Chemistry into our heads. First the video, then the textbook chapter reading, then the lecture, and then the homework.
Thank you, Dr.Fus. For making chemistry interesting again without the use of baking soda volcanos :)

this is a great way of teaching wish more classes were this way

whoa these videos and chapter/section teachings on your website are ├╝ber helpful. More teachers should teach like you!
